Please share: This pic was taken last year at Grand River Champion of Champions Powwow. This year we were asked to serve on head staff. Traveling north, we stopped in St. Louis, Missouri for the night & this morning we discovered that one of our suitcases was missing. We immediately retraced steps, checked with bellman, and began calling home to everywhere we stopped. We concluded that the bag must've been stolen at the hotel. All of Jay's beadwork was in that bag & I'm just hoping that some way it will be turned in. We have friends that will lend him some things for this weekend, but I am just trying to remain hopeful. I know "dancing for the people" is a phrase used a lot, but my husband really does embody that ideal. He doesn't dance for money. He dances for the love of Native people. He dances for the right reasons and never lets competition or material things interfere with how he treats other people. If you see this outfit in a pawn shop or anywhere, please contact me. Hopefully someone will find it somewhere & realize that it is of no use to them.
