Dear Friends:

Shawnee County Allied Tribes, Inc. is a non-profit organization
made up of volunteer members of various ethnic backgrounds working
together to provide services to urban and reservation Native
Americans.

This past year our projects have included culture classes in Native 
American crafts, school and other cultural programs, Native 
American Education Day for students at the Pow Wow, a yearly Pow 
Wow for the "Celebration of Life", and education of the general 
public through participation at the Pow Wow.

Funds raised through the Pow Wow are used to honor all the 
registered singers, dancers, MCs, Arena Directors, etc.  Any 
remaining funds are used for Allied Tribes projects, and next 
years' Pow Wow.

If you are interested in joining Shawnee County Allied Tribes and 
participating in these types of projects, please contact Don 
Anderson, Secretary, at P.O. Box 750284, Topeka, Kansas  
66675-0284.  Membership dues are $15. per year for a family or $10. 
per year for a single membership.  Our Board and General Meetings 
are held the second Monday of each month at the Highland Park
United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan Avenue (just off 29th 
Street), Topeka, Kansas.  The Board meeting starts at 6:30 pm with 
the General meeting following at 7:30 pm.

good time at the Pow Wow and a safe journey home.
